Montaña Roja VIP lounge
The climate in the Canary Islands makes them an all-year-round destination for holidaymakers, so Tenerife South Airport can be busy at any time of year. Added to this, air travel has become more stressful with heightened security screening causing more queues, making it a longer process to get through to the departures lounge.
However, to escape the crowds and noise once you get to the boarding area, you can retreat into the comparative peace of the Montaña Roja (Red Mountain) VIP lounge. As Tenerife South is mainly a tourist airport, the VIP lounge has a more relaxed feel than many business class facilities.
For those who are travelling for business, there are workstations with computer terminals and internet access, free Wi-Fi exclusive to lounge customers, and charging points for your mobile devices. Of course, these facilities can be also used for leisure purposes.
If you just want to relax while waiting for your flight, you can sit inside and watch the TV or read the newspapers and magazines which are provided. Or watch the planes come and go on the runway while sitting out on the terrace enjoying the complimentary drinks and snacks.
The Montaña Roja lounge is free to use by first or business class passengers on certain airlines, as well as the holders of associated club cards such as Priority Pass. Other passengers are welcome into the lounge on payment of the relevant fee at reception or when booked in advance. You need to show a valid boarding pass. At peak times, walk-up access may be dependent upon how busy the lounge is.

The Montaña Roja lounge is located after security to the left, close to the escalators to the boarding gates. The surface area of the facility is 696m².

- Wednesday and Thursday 07:00 to 21:00
- Sunday 07:00 to 22:30

- Adults (11 years and older): €25.40
- Children (6 to 10 years): €12.20
- Children 5 and under go free
Access to the VIP lounge is for a maximum of four hours before your scheduled flight departure. If your flight is delayed, you can remain in the lounge for the additional length of the delay.
